Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, & Rob Marshall (Pirates of the Caribbean) are the judges for the night. Lady Gaga is not a judge tonight BUT…. she is performing tonight!!!!
I absolutely LOVE Cat’s dress. The whole peek-a-boo lace is cute. I wish her hair has more curls to it… but still hot!
Okay, this opening number is AMAZING!!!! The staging of it all just captures your eyes. With the kind of mood that I am in this morning, it just.. yeh….inspires. It has this Elizabethan feel to it, but it also has a 1910-20s flare as well. The zoom in on Jess’ face set the tone for the entire piece already. Oh yeh, it is set to Water for Elephants’ (Soundtrack) The Circus Sets Up. The crèmes, tans, and burnt sienna are amazing!!! WHO CHOREOGRAPHED THIS?!!!! I am not even half way through it and I am just mesmerized. THIS IS EMMY MATERIAL!!! Oh my word!!!! That was beyond amazing! It was beautiful and touching. Yeh… TYCE DIORIO DID THAT!!!? He needs to do MORE of that. It was on point! I love it. Standing O!!!!!!!!!!!! Read the rest of this entry »

ROUND 2 of the All-Stars!!!!! There is a different batch of All-Stars tonight and the competition will get tougher. I can feel it in my bones, people! It is going to be off the CHAIN!!!! So, you ready?
Take 2 in 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, #SYTYCD ?
I love this white dress that Cat has on. It gives her curves and a nice silhouette
Jordan, Marko, Sasha, Tadd, Melanie, Ricky, Caitlynn, and Jess are your top 8.
Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Rob Marshall (Pirates of the Caribbean), and Lady Gaga are the judges for the night.
I am looking at Lady Gaga’s outfit and all I can think of is Sargeant Pepper. lol. I just told my age. All of the young pups are gonna be lile Sargent Who?
Sasha and Pasha: Choreographer,Johnathan Roberts, did this alter-reality piece to Terry Snyder’s Puttin’On The Ritz. I don’t like the way that it started. I don’t think that the choreographers of ballroom can come up with out of this world concepts. I mean, the dances turn out beautifully but they never convey the theme that they mention. I need for Sasha’s head not to bob as much and to watch her frame. Here I am talking like I am Mary Murphy. The ending didn’t do it for me. OUch….and you know I love me some Pasha and Sasha. Rob said that Sasha is elegant and easily one of his favorites for sure. It is also nice to see her in heels, those legs are gorgeous. He didn’t think that this genre showed off everything that she can do. Mary said that Sasha absolutely pulled it off tonight. Nigel said that she is his favorite dancer in the competition and that she was too stiff in the body but he loved the angle that she was at. Lady Gaga said that she is just as shiny on the outside as she is on the inside. She disagreed with Nigel and thought that her stoic stature was a wonderful way to interpret the intention of the choreographer. If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-01 (1-888-836-7601) or TEXT 1 to 83676 . Or vote online at www.fox.com/dance

I contemplated taking a nap…. but then that would be so horrible of me to not catch the top 10 being created. I mean, my DVR is on…. but it just wouldnt be the same. So I am awake, fighting sleep…. and I will write this in real time. So…..
Take 2 in 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, #SYTYCD ?
Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), and Sonya Tayeh are the judges for the night.
Congratulations to both Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Cat Deeley and SYTYCD on their over all 8 Emmy nominations (5 being in choreography)… I love the tWitch NappyTab routine. I remember that one. The nominations that SYTYCD have received were for Mandy Moore, Mia Michaels, Stacey Tookey, Travis Wall, and a NappyTab choreography. Amazing if you were there for all of it!
This opening number is AMAZING!!! Kelly Abbey (choreographer) made Sean Peter featuring Oscar Jimenez’ El Fuego the backdrop to this stunning opening I don’t think that you under stand. I mean it was a brilliant choice to put Jordan in the center. It called to her sex appeal that she has when she dances. I mean the girls all look Hot. I am calling it now. You can’t tell me that a girl will NOT be the winner of Season 8. I mean, the guys are looking hot too… but I am screaming girlpower and Beyonce’s Who Run the World on his one. The dance is very intricate in its transitions and I love it. And the routine/choreo manages to stay true to the theme of the song El Fuego.
Group 1:
Clarice & Jess rocked out to a Christopher Scott Hip Hop routine tp Boyce Avenue’s Just the Way You Are. And they Jived together for the final time to a Tony Meredith & Melanie Lapatin routine with Robert Randolph & the Family Band’s Aint Nothing Wrong With That as their soundtrack. Caitlynn & Mitchell tried their luck with a Christopher Scott Hip Hop routine to the tune of Lupe Fiasco featuring Eric Turner & Sway’s Break the Chain that flopped terribly and a Travis Wall routine that is set in the 1970s to the beat of Joplin’s Piece of My Heart that got better reviews. The first two dancer who will move on to the top 10 are CLARICE AND JESS!!!! They worked their butts off so they deserved to move on. Caitlynn and Mitchell will have to dance for their lives.
Just a reminder, they will split up the couples next week. They will get to pick a new partner as well as dancing with an All-Star. Alex Wong also injured himself again and will not be an All-Star for this season. Our hearts go out to him. The All-Stars who will be returning throughout the rest of this season will be…. Melody (Season 1), Allison (Season 2), Pasha (Season 3), Season 4’s tWitch, Comfort, & Chelsie. Also, Brandon (Season 5), Kathryn (Season 6), & Robert (Season 7). This looks GOOOOOOOD!!!!!
Group 2:
My favorite couple Melanie & Marko tackled a Louie Van Amstel Tango in the key of Gotan Project’s Triptico like it was Super Bowl and they were about to get a ring. But not to be outdone by their previous routines, they wrestled a Dee Caspary “light bulb” routine to the grown as David J. Roch’s Skin & Bones blared through the televisions across America.Ryan & Ricky danced a Broadway piece choreographed by Spencer Liff to Frank Sinatra’s All I need Is a Girl. Up next was Louie Van Amstel’s Cha-Cha to Enrique Iglesias featuring DJ Frank E’s Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You). I think that you already know that if Melanie and Marko are in the bottom…. I will quit watching this show for this season. I don’t have a good enough reason….but dont make me live up to my threat!!! And AMERICA KEPT MY TEAM!!!!!!!!! Like..duh! Ryan and Ricky will join Caitlynn and Mitchell as they fight for their lives.
Group 3:
Jordan & Tadd: Travis Wall choreographed their journey to Olafur Arnalds’ Brotsjor. Spencer Liff also took his turn in choreographing Rent’s Out Tonight.Sasha & Alexander: They got together for a Paso Doble routine choreographed by Tony Meredith and Melanie Lapatin to Taylor Long & Rick Powell’s Alley Dash, March of the Trolls. They also performed a Tyce Diorio piece about losing something in life to the tune of Aretha Franklin’s That’s Life. Judging fromthe judges; remarks…. Sasha and Alexander should have this one in the bag. Just saying. And America Says…..WAIT!!!! Sasha and Alexander are in the bottom. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR?!!!!!!! Okay… Not good.
Jason Samuel Smith and his tap company Anybody Can Get It. Performing a piece called Move the Crowd: Soul Sessions Pt. 1, they hop right into it….literally. It reminded me of Bring In the Noise and Bring in the Funk. But I love the rapping and how the girls jumped in as well. I loved it. It was like this choreographed battle. Excellent. Makes me want to go back and put my tap shoes on. Standing O. I loved it! Melinda Sullivan from Season 7 of SYTYCD even performed with them. Awesome
Dance For Your Life:
Caitlynn: Lady Gaga Edge of Glory…. ummm I always have a problem with her outfits and this just looks like a sea of leaps back and forth across the stage. Honey… where the hell was the choreo.
Mitchell: Nathan Lanier’s Ra. I mean, he started moving before the music even started. My only irk measure about this routine is his outfit. Umm.. yeh, not working for me
Ryan: Crystal Castles featuring Robert Smith’s Not in Love. And I am not in love with this routine. I mean, she looks good. But it looks so contemporary that it looks like she is throwing a tantrum on the floor.
Ricky: Queen’s Body Language. Ummm… so where is the choreo tonight?!!! I am not trying to be funny… but I just see a bunch of leaps and flips. I mean they are good… but not great like how they were at the beginning of the season.
Sasha: Bobby McFerrin’s Thinkin About Your Body . I mean, you can tell that she actually has choreography and I appreciate that. Yes… we knos that she can do leaps and turns but she choreographed this.
Alexander: Escala Palladio . YES!!!! CHOREO!!! Who knew that is what you were supposed to have when you DANCE for your life!!! I am proud of Alex!!! You better work it!!!! Sexy as he wants to be!
Nicole Scherzinger, of the Pussycat Dolls is in the house! She is bringing her new hit Right There And she looks hot as ever. What I admire about ehr is that she is a dancer and so it makes sense that she comes and performs on a DANCE show. I wouldn’t expect anything less that amazing choreo from her. Now… I am still trying to figure out where the lyrics of this song keep in tune with this being a family show…. but I love the song. lol. Will put this on my mp3 player. Her body is amazing. makes me want to work out as soon as this goes off…lol. ut I love how she can keep your attention while singing and dancing all on her own. You better work it Nicole. I love that she has dancers of different shapes and sizes. I love that!
Yes, I already have my idea of who should be eliminated, but I also thought that Sasha and Alexander would be saved…so I am not going to announce JACK just so I wont jinx anyone that I want to stay. May the best dancers survive!
Nigel said that they are unanimous with the girls. Nigel thinks that she has yet to dance as well as she has in her solo. They felt that Ryan was a little lack-luster last night. They feel that she is depressed and that she shouldnt be because she should always be ready to perform. They werent knocked out by Sasha’s performance but they know that she is a fabulous performance. They even said that the only reason her sister Natlalia (sp) didn’t make it was because she was dancing next to her. The girl who is going home is Ryan Ramirez.
Nigel say that Mitchell’s work is average but above good but his solo was great tonight and that is important. Ricky gave a dance for his life performance that was amongst the best that they have every seen. Last night Alexander found himself but tonight Alexander will be going home.
If you could see the look on my face right now….you would see how shocked and hurt I am because I think he was fabulous….but what do I know. Hmmmm… Okay.

Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), and Sonya Tayeh are the judges for the night.
This will be the last night that we will get to see the top 6 couples….next week they will split off into individuals. Mary and Nigel freak me out. Are they dating for real? But I absolutely LOVE Jesse in Modern Family….I did not know he had ballroom background. I love it.
Sasha & Alexander: They got together for a Paso Doble routine choreographed by Tony Meredith and Melanie Lapatin. This is supposedly a battle between masculine and femininity. Dancing to Tayloe Long & Rick Powell’s Alley Dash, March of the Trolls they hit the stage running. This dance is fierce. I mean from the costume to the moves and the strength that they have to have to support the other. The music adds this masculine yet sex appeal to it. I love how they are in unison to one another. When the music first began I wasnt so sure… but now I like it. They ONLY thing that I do not care for is the staccato movement at points. The ending where Alex grabs her neck….niiice. Wait…. the kiss at the end was violent. I dont know if it went with it. And Sasha didnt say if the kiss was choreographed or not. Hmmm…. Nigel said that Sasha is a strong character. Mary said that it was on fire. Jesse thought that it was Brilliant and Sasha rocked Sonya’s socks! If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-01 (1-888-836-7601) or TEXT 1 to 83676 . Jordan & Tadd: Travis Wall will choreography their journey. It is supposed to be a metaphor for the women that take advantage of the men. Jordan will be the vulture and Tadd the deserted wanderer. Now…this move that Travis and Jordan did which looks like a squatted sway movement…..SEXY!!!! I so need to integrate that into a dance routine. Okay… this first image of Jordan in costume as Olafur Arnalds’ Brotsjor begins to play…. BRILLIANT!!! I mean, they took vulture literally and it is working. Okay. I watched the dance and I got it….but I didn’t. Is that making any sense? Some of the movements were 1 & 2 & wait for the music cue POP! for me. I dont know.I mean, it was good but it wasnt great. And the end was cool, but unexpected in a “I dont know if it worked for me” kind of way. Why is everything so dark tonight? Mary loved it. Jesse is hilarious. But he said that the guys are in it to win it. Sonya wishes that she could swear because it showed true conviction. If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-02 (1-888-836-7602) or TEXT 2 to 83676.Or vote online at www.fox.com/dance
Together, Ryan & Ricky will be dancing Broadway choreographed by Spencer Liff. So, apparently Ricky is waiting outside of a movie when he fantasizes that Ryan’s movie star poster comes to life. Hmmm I will have to see how this works. As Frank Sinatra’s All I need Is a Girl begins to play… this image of Ryan reminds me of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Classic. I honestly do not recognize Ricky. The costumes are classy! I love it. I still have a problem with Ryan not being able to control her face. The routine seemed so short to me. But I liked it. it made me smile, I paid attention, but there was something missing. Hmmm. Jesse said that it felt under water and muted. He said that he knows that they can do more than what the routine allowed them to do. Sonya said that they questioned the routine and let it simmer a little too much. If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-03 (1-888-836-7603) or TEXT 3 to 83676.Or vote online at www.fox.com/dance
Together, Caitlynn & Mitchell will enter into the land of LXD and rehearse/perform a Christopher Scott Hip Hop routine. They will be portraying the children in Uganda who are being abducted and forced to fight a senseless war. It’s about asking the audience for help. It offers the opportunity for America to be touched by it. I pray that it does….because this is a TALL order to fill.Lupe Fiasco featuring Eric Turner & Sway’s Break the Chain cranks out as the piece begins. UGH!!! The opening lost it for me. I hate people who do “I’m Acting X Emotion” faces. I am still paying Salle Mae for student loans I cant afford to pay off using the degree I obtained and therefore people making emotion faces on autopilot just KILL me! And this running from side to side of the stage reach for the audience did NOTHING for me. I know that if I were there that I would be getting booed too. But come on! I am up at 1am blogging and I deserve to have great television. For me, the dance didnt begin until Lupe began to sand the word “freedom”.Mitchell is ROCKING this routine. I mean, once the beat dropped and he got in the pocket it was on and poppin’. I can tell this is not where Caitlynn lives but she is keeping up with him and I applaud her for that. These Tae-bo type moves looks like Chris was watching P90X when he choreographed this. Hmmmm. Again, when can we blame the choreographer? Sonya said that she got lost in the execution of unison with the serious message that we were supposed to get. Nigel says “what does this have to do with the refugees in the Congo”? I agree. Yeh, the story wasnt there for me. If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-04 (1-888-836-7604) or TEXT 4 to 83676.Or vote online at www.fox.com/dance
Up next is my favorite couple Melanie & Marko: Louie Van Amstell is whipping up a Tango for them. There isnt a storyline, just a pure character of the dance. HmmmI dont know how I feel about that because they work well with a story, but I pray they rock it like they always do. Gotan Project’s Triptico opens up the routine. I must say… Melanie looks AMAZING in this outfit. I mean, she looks good in everything that they place her in…and Marko looks so handsome! I do, however, feel that they are going to get attacked on their carriage and frame. Although the seductive nature of the dance is there…. I am able to still see a slight distance in their willingness to go all of the way.The hang over the edge of the stage… PHENOM!!!! WAIT! Rewind…. this fall back, through the legs, pull through madness….. I think I was seeing things… *REWIND* Nope… they did it. In slow motion it literally looks like Melanie’s back bend folded in half……smdh.I have seen it all. Magical! The judges agree…..it was amazing!. If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-05 (1-888-836-7605) or TEXT 5 to 83676.Or vote online at www.fox.com/dance
Clarice & Jess rock out to a Christopher Scott Hip Hop routine. It’s about a woman’s insecurities. There is intricate tutting movements and if there was ever a routine that would challenge them…this would be it. Set to the sound of Boyce Avenue’s Just the Wat You Are they begin.I cant tell you what this set piece is between them. WOW!!!!!! How and when did Jess turn into a B-boy? amazing! Okay, I know I was supposed to be watching Clarice, and I did…she was amazing, but this was al Jess for me. I mean, I didnt see the broadway boy I saw a b-boy and I was amazed. He didnt look out of his element at all! THIS was the level of amazing that I am accustomed to seeing Christopher Scott put forth…dont ask me what that other mess he set Caitlynn and Mitchell up with was…ugh! The judges loved it. Happy Opposite Day… I loved it! hahahaha I love Jesse. Nigel even mentioned that Christopher should stick with these simple stories and not go abroad. I concur! If you wish to vote for them you can call 1-888-TEMP-06 (1-888-836-7606) or TEXT 6 to 83676.Or vote online at www.fox.com/dance
ROUND 2
Sasha & Alexander dance with Tyce Diorio to a piece about losing something in life to the tune of Aretha Franklin’s That’s Life. This must come from a true place. I want to see them in the top 10. Wait… did Alex just cup Sasha’s breast? lol. That was risky but HOTT!!! lol. This is a family show people!lol. I couldnt tell if Sasha fell at the end…. but I loved it. And Jesse said to tell her sister hello and that they finally came out of the shadow of the Coming Home military routine. I think that Alex has a partner crush on Sasha. Hmmmm.
Jordan & Tadd will dance to a Spencer Liff routine to the tune of Out Tonight from one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BROADWAY SHOWS…… RENT!!! I have seen it on broadway more than 10 times in the past 10 years and I own the DVD and it goes on every plane ride imaginable!! *Start shumming…. “I want to go ooooooouuuut tonight!”. So is Jordan Princess MiMi? hahaha . This broadway routine is about a princess who has been asleep for hundreds of years and comes to life to find her prince. I find it hilarious that Jordan gets grossed out by the fact that Tadd may have to kiss her…lol. Okay… I saw where the routine was supposed to go and I also saw where it landed….they were on the same street just not the same address. My opinion and I am sticking with it. Sonya felt underwhelmed. Nigel said it needed more quirk. Mary didnt think that it wasnt strong enough.
Ryan & Ricky move to the beat of a Louie Van Amstel Cha-Cha routine for their final dance. Enrique Iglesias featuring DJ Frank E’s Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)….interesting music choice. Okay, this orange in these costumes are hurting my eyes. Ricky’s walk on to stage didnt command my attention. The opening move made Ricky look so tiny and slim. Ryan looked hot in her opening number, the standing split and fall/drop-twirl on the ground was hott! Okay, the routine was very sexy and hott. Yes, hott. And i am beyond sleepy so for me to give any form of compliment is a sign that they did well. Nigel said that he felt that Ryan was over doing it. Everyone loves Ricky and thinks that Ryan’s feet were sloppy. Okay… NEXT!
Caitlynn & Mitchell take on a Travis Wall routine that is set in the 1970s. Mitchell is married and Caitlynn is his love and finds out. Janis Joplin’s Piece of My Heart DEMANDS some aggression! Caitlynn cant half ass this one. Just saying. The costumes are throwing me. I guess because i do not know why Caitlynn is in a corset and booty shorts. Secondly… I dont think her faces are in sync with the fact that she just found out that this guy she has been messing with is married. Hmmmmm. I am conflicted about how I felt about the piece. Yeh.. ummm. Mary thought that it was slightly naughty, intense, but she liked it. Jesse says “Only you can prevent forest fires by not dancing in forests….lol” Sonya thought that it was really, really hott! Over all it was Siiiiick!
Melanie & Marko hit the ground running for their final chance as a couple in a Dee Caspary routine. This couple is slipping in and out of the light. David J. Roch’s Skin & Bones sets the background to this routine. Ummmm. I spent most of the routine watching the light wondering if it was going to go off or come on. Sad,yet true. And then I didnt get it when they weren’t under the light but the spot light lit them. I mean, the routine was amazing…as usual… I just got lost in the concept and the fact that I have to be awake in 4 hours. hmmm. Jesse loved it. His mine has been blown & he has goosebumps. Sonya is grateful that they are the future of dance and she is inspired. Please stay humble and true. (Had a private thought here and kept it to myself). Nigel is sad that they will have to break them up next week because they are magical together.
Clarice & Jess take to the floor once last time to a Tony Meredith & Melanie Lapatin Jive routine. Robert Randolph & the Family Band’s Aint Nothing Wrong With That is a song that has been in my head for ages and I never knew who sang it….lol. I love their footwork. They are in unison…they are feeling the groove and I am watching their character choices… and I love it. The final drop at the end took strength and I loved it. Sonya loved it 10x over.
Next week they will be the top 10 but they will also bring an all-star back. I wonder who they all-stars will be. No matter what… it will be great. Now I can go to bed. zzzzzzzz

Last night was ummmmm….how do you say…. a slight disappointment. I mean, it was beautiful yet emotionally void. Melanie and Marko came to the rescue and the judges kissing one another was enough to make me almost pee myself. So, I voted for Melanie and Marko because everyone else left me with no choice. Sooooooooo let’s get on with it, shall we?
Take 2 in 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, #SYTYCD ?
Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Lil C and Kristin Chenoweth are the judges for the night.
I find it interesting how Cat dressed up last night and appears rather casual tonight….ouch! Is that a sign of who may go home? Dun Dun Duuuuuuuun! Well, tonight, 1 girl and 1 guy will be going home. I don’t even know who it should be so don’t worry about me putting a spell on anyone’s fate.
Okay, so…. whoEVER is in charge of putting the songs at the bottom of the screen…. YOU SHOULD BE FIRED! You do know that people want to know what song is playing. And if I weren’t such a nerd and knew that this was The Incredits from the 2004 movie The Incredibles’ soundtrack then I would have been SOL with the 5 times you faintly placed it on the screen and then took it away before finally leaving it up there long enough for us to read! Get on your job!
Now, these costumes for this group piece look something out of a West Side Story brawl. I would have loved a spy feel to it…but let me shut up and watch. The track listing guy has me all irritated and my nose is stuffy because I am having an allergic reaction to my puppy. (I’m allergic to dogs, & don’t ask why I have a puppy then).I do love how the camera man keeps giving Melanie spotlight moments!!! She is so gorgeous! And how they slicked Tadd’s hair down almost confused me as to who he was for a few seconds. I am still trying to find the story to this. I can’t tell what it is. Therefore I am lost. It is all over the place and I don’t know where to look….and IGH!!! This synchronized clock, twirl piece looked HORRIBLE!!! They didn’t turn Jess over at the same time as the girl on the left side of the screen. And choreographer Michael Brune (pronounced Brun-ee…hope I spelled it right), well however it is spelled, I didn’t like it. So there. I said it…and what!
Group 1 up for reveal: Ricky & Ryan danced Contemporary style choreographed by Sonya Tayeh to Robyn With Every HeartBeat (Acoustic). Melanie & Marko’ Lyrical Hip Hop choreography was created by the genius duo of Nappy Tab to Leona Lewis’ I Got You. Ashley & Chris danced a Jazz routine choreographed by Sonya Tayeh to Telepathe’s Lights Go Down (District 78 Remix). Well, I must say that I am not in the least bit worried that Melanie and Marko will be going home because the television gods have already heard that if American ever puts them up for elimination I will stop watching SYTYCD forever…. and I mean that. Now, what happens once they stop being a couple is on them…but until then…yeh. Just saying. Wait… MELANIE AND MARKO KISSED AGAIN BACKSTAGE AFTER ALL OF THE JUDGES KISSED?!!!!!! I LOVE THEM!! lol. Okay, I’m calling it…. I want Melanie and Marko to invite me to their wedding. What? You were thinking it too….lol. They make a cute & HOT couple!!! Okay… NEXT! THEY’RE SAFE!!!!!!!!!! Like Pound Duh! (#duh). Ashley and Chris were on sketchy terms last night….so what does America think? America thought that they should be the first couple in the bottom 3…but at least Ashley looks cute. Ryan and Ricky, I mean I already know that they are safe just because I can’t see them putting 2 couples in the bottom 3 from the first group. Just saying. And America says….. Like duh…they’re safe.
So, don’t forget to head over to www.Fox.com/dance to learn the flash mob routines for National Dance Day ( July 30th). NappyTab will be choreographing the hard routine!! I HAVE TO LEARN A NAPPY TAB ROUTINE AND PERFORM IT DOWN ON THE NATIONAL MALL!!!!! Robin Antin will choreograph a sexy routine!!!!!! Okay, I have to learn this one too! Who can say that they learned a Pussycat Doll dance?!! And Mary Murphy is choreography a simpler routine for the mature crowd. I can’t wait!
Group 2 up for reveal: Sasha & Alexander danced a Contemporary routine choreographed by Dee Caspary to Cary Brothers‘ Belong. Miranda & Robert danced a Broadway piece choreographed by Tyce Diorio to Sophisticated Ladies (1981 Soundtrack) It Dont Mean a Thing if Aint Got that Swing.Jordan & Tadd’s Hip Hop routine was choreographed by the magically witty NappyTab to David Guetta featuring Kid Cudi’s Memories. Nigel said that they would be staying….and he was right! America voted for them to stay! I am afraid that Sasha and Alexander will be up for elimination just because they were chosen second….I pray I am wrong. Especially since Lil C used an SAT word such as melifluous (adj: sweetly or smoothly flowing; sweet sounding) to describe their routine. Miranda’s pink and flowery outfit is hurting my stomach. I am trying to figure out who is in charge of her outfits for solos. Okay, so Sasha and Alexander are safe while Robert, Miranda, and her ugly pepto outfit will be up for elimination.
Group 3 up for reveal: Clarice & Jess Foxtrotted to Jean-Marc Genereux’s choreography to Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon. Caitlynn & Mitchell did a Jean-Marc Genereux choreographed Samba to Alicia Keys featuring Beyoncé’s Put it in a Love Song. Now, I have a feeling that Jess and Clarice are safe….something in my gut is telling me that America saved them. I CALLED IT!!!! Caitlynn and Mitchell are up for elimination while Jess and Clarice are up for elimination. *sigh*
Banned in 1987 under the artistic direction of Judith Smith. They are one of the worlds acclaimed and innovative dance ensembles; combining performers with and without disabilities…..they are AXIS!(Dance Company) WOW! performing to Janine Jansen’s Partita For Violin Solo No. 2 in D Minor the opening was void of sound but blasted trumpets of visual stimulus!!! The ladies legs playing peek-a-boo behind the wheels of the man in the wheelchair was both sensual and creepy at the same time. Her movement to the front where she slammed her hands on the ground as he wheeled forward and slammed his single fist down gave him this dominant power…..wow! Okay I’ll unpause now. Amazing! The use of the wheelchair makes you notice it but as an intricate part of the dance and not as a liability to this disabled abled person. And the rag doll gesture that she does when her chin is in his hand as she walks forward….genius! I had to be quiet and just watch. The ending pose is just ….wow! I loved how he was dominant throughout the piece. It changed any stereotype of pity that one could have for a person in a wheelchair. I was actually emotionally moved as he was so abusive to her in a sense, dismissive. UGH! I wish I had thought of such genius! Fabulous! *rewind* Cat looks like a giant next to the female dancer….lol. I love this routine so much that I want to see the rest of the routine. If you want to know more about them, you can go to their website at www.axisdance.org.
Elimination Solos…Dance for Your Life
Ashley: Performing to David Ryan Harris’ For You, which I have NEVER heard of before, she begins with the stereotypical run, lean, extended hand then closed fist pull hand back into myself like I just missed you move. There are a ton of leaps and leg extensions but I don’t feel that there is a ton of meat to this routine. I don’t feel like she is dancing for her life as much as I feel that she is dancing to be seen. I don’t even feel the emotion of the piece and the song is backed with emotions. You can hate me if you want for saying it….but if this is her dancing for her life, then she is already dead.
Chris: Performing to one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE CHRISTIAN HIP HOP ARTISTS, KJ-52 (pronounced KJ-five-two) featuring Blanca Reyes You’re Gonna Make It,Chris comes out the gate running. Just the fact the he even knows who KJ-52 is and the fact that he , as a b-boy, chose to rep with a Christian rapper is enough for his to stay! I don’t know his faith, but God should watch after him on this one. Who chooses the songs for solo dances anyway? Just wondering. *GASP* The foot grab, leg extension, partial contortion move that he just did made me suck in air so hard that my throat is dry and hurts now. AMAZINGLY FREAKISH!!!!! The emotion that he is showing in his face, through is moves, and via the song just gave him my vote. Chris should stay! Wow…. Mitchell and Robert better bring it! Yeh, I said it…and what?
Miranda: Performing to Maria Zouroudis’ Untinkable, Miranda still has on the barf me up colored 2-piece. Okay, what I hate is the arm movement that is reminiscent of a boxing block that everyone is doing in lyricals. Find something else to do. But I love how she covers the stage in such a short time. I love her technique, I love her leaps, and her frame is impeccable. Now if we could just get her outfit right I wouldn’t have to go in on her so hard. But I am wondering if Maria or Alicia Keys made this song first. Of course I am impartial to Alicia because I heard it first. it just hit me whether outfit reminds me of and why I hate it so much. For all of my old heads, you remember the end scene in Dirty Dancing where Baby’s sister is singing the hula-song with the coconut bra with the weird lay and flowers on her wrists…THAT is what this outfit reminds me of! It just makes it worst since it is pink.
Robert: Performing to Jamie Foxx’ I Don’t Need It , another song that I don’t think that I’ve heard before, Robert starts moving before the camera is even on him while Cat is still introducing him. A bit anxious are we? I mean, how many times has Robert been in the bottom 3? Okay. his MJ move showed up again… we get it already, you love MJ. Now stop it. I think that his moves always look freestyle-ish and seldom do they ever look choreographed and I want him to look a tab bit more polished when he is fight for his life on this show. I don’t know what else to say.
Caitylnn: Performing to Katie Thompson’s It Doesn’t Hurt(Live version), she begins with this beautiful leg extension……is this the trend of the season? I am almost prepared to band leg extensions as a safety net in solo routines. lol. BEAUTIFUL PIROUETTE… but if she does that hand reach-pull back again, I’m never voting for her! I hate cliché hand movements! Her piece was beautiful but it didn’t match the music for me. IJS.
Mitchell: Performing to the amazing Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, his first move makes him look so fluid….receptive. I hope that makes sense. But he looks like he heard and felt the movement and let it work its way through his body. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! (Yh, I stole it from Kristin) He did a leg extension that turned into a frontward roll while still in the leg extension. *REWIND* Yep, I saw it…. fantabulous!!!
Okay, judging by the solo routines, I would keep Mitchell, Chris, Caitlyn, and Miranda. Unfortunately, Robert and Ashley would have to go. Again, these are just my opinions while I have the DVR paused. I just think that the others danced for their lives a little harder. All of them deserve to be there…..but someone has to go.
They are the current United States and World theatrical Ballroom champion dancers, Eric Luna and Georgia Ambarian. They are performing to Pirate of the Caribbean:At World’s End’s (Soundtrack) Calypso. I love this movie so they better not jack up this dance!!!! Or, Or….OR I’ll tell Jack Sparrow on you! Hold the hell up!!! Did I really just see him pic her up off the floor with one arm? How much does this woman weigh? Okay, you have my attention. I mean their lifts look EFFORTLESS! i mean I feel as if i am watching a magic show and I am waiting to see the strings having to show me hoe he is picking her up as lift she only weight the fame as a feather….but no strings. Now, this but lift…. priceless…. and I wish I had their kind os technique. Like how he twirled down to the grown with her on the back of his neck, without support, all the way down to the ground. And her handing forward like a mermaid on the front of the ship…. I need to workout with her…..wow…. You will just have to Google this performance… because it was something you MUST see with your eyes. *REWIND!!!!!!* Yep, still no strings!
I’m going to get straight to the point……Miranda was being sent home ( NOT FAIR).

And joining her will be……Robert (Wooooooooo!).

Tune in next week to see the top 14 contestant dnce it out once more. Thanks for reading!
