Okay, I am literally running in from the Howard University Poetry Cipher event with Talib Kweli. But I made it in time for the second episode. Will go back and catch the second episode.
Take 2 in 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, #ReedBtwnLines
Okay, after watching last week’s episodes I have decided that I like this show. No, scratch that…. I LOVE THIS SHOW! I think that the chemistry between Tracee and Malcolm is spot on. They are a believable television couple. It is so funny to see both of them as parents when we have never seen them as parents before. I also find it hilarious that Malcolm’s real life girlfriend ( Regina King) and his television wife (Tracee Ellis Ross) are hosting the Black Girls Rock. Lol.
So Kaci wants to be an actress. And she is into Blake Thomas this episode. Wasn’t she into Dylan last episode? Do girls really switch their likes this much? I wasn’t like that. Congrats, she got the lead. So Keenan and Kaci’s last name is Reynolds? The plot thickens?
SEXY!!!! The actor who played Braxton on the Jamie Foxx show is on here portraying the director. I have always loved his real voice. Wait, did the director just say her hair was bad hair? And he gives her this horrible wig.
And now Carla is straightening Kaci’s hair to get it into the “free flowing” style that the director wants. I love how they are addressing the issue of natural hair and how some people feel forced to alter it. I also love how Kaci said that she likes her natural hair.
Did Helen just say that she is going to be more like Jesus? Bwhahahah I’ll believe it when I see it.
Side note: I LOVE Keenan’s individual flare. I know it is what kids are into these days, but it fits his personality.
Noooooo, Kaci is going to keep her hair straight because Blake Thomas likes it straight. No! Boooooo don’t change for a guy. NEVER!!!!
Okay, this is going to sound mean, but I swear it gets better. Am I the only one who notices Tracee’s left eye? Has it always been like that? She’s still beautiful to me, but I just noticed.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Kaci, stay way from the creamy crack!!!! I know Carla walked in on her apply Vaseline to her hairline…that is the number one sign of a creamy crackhead! Baby no! No! *Runs fingers through my locs*
YES!!!! They are addressing a REAL TOPIC!!!!! I am loving this. I need every black woman to pay attention to this episode. MESSAGE!!!! This show needs to stay on. Watch all of the perm heads get upset. But Carla is telling the truth.
What is this outfit that Carla has on? Are they dressed up to teach Kaci a message? lol. Yeh, Alex picked up on Blake’s sexist habits. But I think that Carla got her point through to Kaci. So the moral of this episode is dont change for anyone and perms are bad….lol.
Bwhahahah Alex made Blake sign a contract?!!!!! Will the real fathers please stand up! lol. But good to know that Blake really liked her. He just happened to say it when her hair was straightened. Okay, he gets a butt-munch pass. lol.

I loved this episode!!! It really hit home. I do enjoy Malcolm and Tracee’s chemistry too.
I enjoyed the skit they did to make the daughter understand but it kinda reminded me of Lucy and Ricky but Lucy never did anything Ricky said to do. LOL!!!
Are the girl and boy twins in real life? I keep trying see the name in the beginning but I never do, they kinda sort look alike but not really.
I think I am going to like this show.
I’ve always like Braxton too especially when he says tsk, tsk, tsk. LOL!!
